As you see, the previous logo is based on an existing typeface. It's OK in common, but not so when you go perfect. Notice B R U have much less white space. Vireible glyphs width are also derived from a typeface. All these are OK if you work on a typeface — a compromise between 500+ glyphs. But when you have only 5 it can be done perfect.
